Ticket Announcement For Kobe and Gianna Bryant Memorial Service

The Los Angeles Lakers have announced the February 24 memorial at Staples Center to honor Kobe and Gianna Bryant will require tickets.

Tickets for the celebration of life will go on sale Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. Those looking to attend must register to purchase tickets on Ticketmaster from Friday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. through Monday, Feb. 17 at 10 p.m. On Feb. 18, fans who registered will receive an email or text to participate in the ticket sale.

Prices will range from $224 to $24.02. If demand exceeds the number of tickets being sold, registered fans will be entered into a lottery and randomly selected to purchase tickets. Tickets will be non-transferable.

Fans who do not secure tickets are encouraged not to gather downtown for the ceremony. The celebration of life will not be shown on video screens outside the Staples Center or around L.A. Live, and there will be no overflow area for the event.

Proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to Bryant’s Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, which works to empower underserved communities through youth sports.

The foundation, formerly named the Mamba Sports Foundation, announced Thursday that it added “Mambacita” to its name to honor Bryant’s daughter, Gianna.

Kobe, 41, and daughter Gianna, 13, were among the nine people killed in a helicopter crash on January 26 on a hillside in Calabasas on their way to a youth basketball tournament. There were no survivors.  They were buried February 7 in a private funeral service. The public memorial will honor all nine victims.

In the wake of the tragedy, Bryant’s foundation also established the MambaOnThree Fund to help the families affected. All donations go directly to the families of the seven other victims.

No further details have been released yet of the memorial service itself or who is expected to attend.

Havana Brown’s hit single “We Run The Night” has received the music industry’s coveted Platinum® Award for exceeding 1,000,000 record sales in the United States. This is the first Platinum® selling single for 2101 Records in the USA, a joint venture with Universal Music, which was founded in 2010 by multi Grammy-winning producer, musician, and songwriter, RedOne.

We Run The Night” was released in April 2011 as Havana Brown’s debut single, and has garnered multi-Platinum® recognition internationally. A reproduction of the Australian singer/DJ’s single “We Run The Night,” featuring American rapper Pitbull, also reached number one on Billboard’s Dance Club Chart and completed the longest climb up Billboard’s Top 40 chartin14 years, the third-longest overall. Brown, who is currently on tour with Pitbull, is expected to release her next hit single "You'll Be Mine” (featuring R3hab) in the coming weeks.
While this is the first U.S. Platinum® single for 2101 Records, the label has delivered multiple international hits and Platinum® singles for Swedish-Congolese artist Mohombi, 2101’s first signed artist. Mohombi is expected to debut his work, in partnership with Cash Money records, in the US sometime next year. Additionally, RedOne has independently written and produced more than 50 international hit singles in the past five years, including 21 number one singles. He has collaborated with artists, including, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, Akon, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, and Usher, among others.

“This is a major milestone for us at 2101 Records,” said 2101 Records Founder and CEO, RedOne. “To see one of our artist’s debut single go Platinum® in the U.S., possibly the toughest and most critical market in the world, validates every single reason why I love what I do each minute of every day.”

“Special shout out and many thanks to our amazing partners at Universal Republic - (Universal Australia) A&R Michael Taylor, (Universal Republic's) Monty Lipman, Avery Lipman, Jim Rappo, Russell Fink, Wendy Goldstein, and Joel Klaiman and his fantastic radio team! Many congratulations to Havana Brown and her management Vince Deltito and Jeff Haddad, both of whom understood the importance of having a presence in the US market in order for us to accomplish this goal...we're just getting started!” RedOne adds.
